We set out to learn everything possible about plant-based wellness and create the safest, most consistent herbal, nootropic, and mushroom products in the industry. That meant diving deep into education, research, and hands-on experience. For a full year, we traveled across the West Coast, attending natural health and nutrition conventions, absorbing knowledge from experts, and studying formulation techniques, infusion methods, and precise dosing. We visited over 100 kitchens and laboratories, determined to understand how edibles were being made. What we discovered was shocking: there was no consistency. To prove it, we conducted our own study. We purchased over 200 brownies, cookies, and gummies from stores, then sent them to labs for potency testing. The results? Alarming. For example, we took a product labeled at 200mg, cut it into four equal pieces, and sent each piece for testing. The results came back: 8mg, 17mg, 35mg, 80mg. Not only did the numbers not add up to 200mg, but each piece contained wildly different doses, making it impossible for consumers to dose accurately. This was a serious problem, one that put people at risk—and we knew it had to be fixed.
